Everyday I go to work I take pictures of these kids who gets mad whenever their parents are in the room, when parents just want to help out with hair/makeup, or just being in the same building. These kids that gives attitude to their parents are so spoiled. Sometimes I want to confront them and say “that is your mom/dad, she/he’s just trying to help you out and make sure your pictures look good because they are the ones paying for your damn pictures”. But I can’t do that. They are kids who should be told but they are our customers and it’s all about customer service. I’ve seen kids cuss at their parents. I’ve seen kids make their parents cry because they didn’t want to do something the parents requested them to do. I feel bad for the parents but it’s technically their fault the reason they act that way is how they raised them. Today I came back to our main studio to find out one of our past employees that I knew and worked with a few years back (who later passed away New Years Eve, cardiac arrest) daughter was in the studio taking her Senior Portraits. I caught the last part of her session when she was taking her cap and gown pictures. I’ve seen pictures when she was really young but when I turned that corner and saw her, I wanted to cry. She looks just like her mom. She grown up to be a beautiful young lady. Brought back so much memories to when I worked with her mom. (Funny crazy moments and good times, those were the days.) She looked happy and excited and she was there with her grandmother. Wished her mom was there to see her take the pictures, but we all know she was watching from up above. (R.I.P Cameron Williams. We miss you dearly.)

This just brought me back to thinking that kids these days don’t understand how good they have it. They don’t realize having both parents or just one how lucky they are. They don’t understand how hard their parents work to support them. They’re lucky if they even know either of them. Kids wouldn’t understand now but eventually they will in the future, hopefully. All I’m saying is respect your elders. Especially the ones that raised you. They brought you into this world, at the most respect them, say thank you everytime and love them everyday.
